I’m back with more World Cup football betting tips, and this time we’re focusing on the exciting Round of 16 fixtures. We came agonisingly close again last week, missing out on a four-fold accumulator by just one goal, the second consecutive week of near misses.

Morocco to win @ 1.80
My first selection comes in the Canada v Morocco clash, and I believe Morocco offer excellent value here. They’ve looked strong throughout the tournament and impressed in their penalty win over the Netherlands, arguably producing the better performance across the full 120 minutes.
Canada, on the other hand, have looked less convincing. They drew against a struggling Bosnia and Herzegovina side in the group stage and only edged past South Africa 1-0 in the Round of 16. Based on current form and the overall quality of both teams, Morocco look like the stronger pick.
France to win both halves @ 2.22
France have been one of the standout teams in this tournament and now face Paraguay, who may not have expected to make it this far. France have scored at least three goals in each of their four matches and delivered another dominant performance against Sweden, further strengthening their position as tournament favourites.
Paraguay deserve credit for reaching this stage, especially after their penalty shootout victory over Germany, but this looks like a much tougher challenge. Given France’s attacking quality and dominance so far, backing them to win both halves looks like a strong value selection.
Brazil to win @ 1.89
My next selection comes from Brazil v Norway, which promises to be an entertaining contest. Brazil have grown stronger with each game and have won every match apart from a draw against a very capable Morocco side.
Norway have performed well overall, but their display against Ivory Coast in the previous round raised a few concerns. Taking both teams into account, Brazil appear to have the edge in quality, making them great value to win this game.
Mexico v England – BTTS: Yes @ 2.02
My final Round of 16 pick comes in the Mexico v England fixture, where goals look likely. Mexico have averaged two goals per game across four matches, underlining their attacking threat throughout the tournament.
England have matched that scoring record, also averaging two goals per game. Based on both teams’ attacking output and recent performances, this looks set to be a competitive game with chances at both ends. Backing both teams to score stands out as a strong value bet.
