Napoli to win @ 1.70
My first selection comes from Serie A, where Napoli welcome Fiorentina on Saturday. Napoli currently sit fourth in the table and will be eager to respond after a disappointing defeat to Juventus last time out. That loss ended a six-game unbeaten league run, so motivation will be high.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, find themselves struggling in 18th place and lacking confidence. Given the clear gulf in quality between the two sides, backing Napoli at home represents excellent value at these odds.
Barcelona – Halftime / Fulltime @ 1.78
League leaders Barcelona face Elche in what looks like a favourable matchup on paper. Elche have managed just five league wins all season, the joint third least amount in La Liga.
Barcelona remain top, but recent results have allowed Real Madrid to close the gap to just one point. With pressure mounting, I expect a fast start and a professional performance from Hansi Flick’s side. Backing Barcelona to lead at halftime and go on to win at fulltime looks a smart and well-priced bet.
Real Madrid to win both halves @ 2.60
My third pick also comes from Spain, as Real Madrid host Rayo Vallecano at the Bernabéu. Madrid have lost just once at home in the league all season, while Rayo arrive in poor form, having lost their last three matches in all competitions.
During that run, Rayo have scored just once and conceded eight goals. Based on current form, and home advantage, backing Real Madrid to win both halves offers strong value.
Manchester City to win – Handicap (1:0) @ 2.16
My final selection comes from the Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. City currently sit second in the table and have cut the gap to league leaders Arsenal to just four points, keeping the title race very much alive.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been boosted by January additions Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guéhi, adding much needed depth at a crucial stage of the season.
Tottenham, on the other hand, have been poor at home, winning just two of their 11 league games on home soil. This is the second worst home record in the league this season. With City chasing the title and Spurs struggling badly in front of their own fans, backing Manchester City to win on a 1:0 handicap looks like outstanding value.
