Overall 4-fold accumulator odds: 15.27

Odds accurate as of the time of publication.

Netherlands v Sweden: Over (2.5) Goals @ 1.86

My first pick for matchday two comes in the exciting clash between Netherlands and Sweden, and this has all the ingredients to be a standout match. With both teams knowing another victory would put them in a commanding position to reach the knockout stages, I expect both sides to come out attacking.

The goals market immediately stands out here. Netherlands’ opener featured four goals, while Sweden’s first game delivered six, proving both teams are dangerous going forward but far from perfect defensively. With attacking quality on both sides, backing Over 2.5 Goals looks like excellent value.

Germany Halftime / Fulltime @ 2.11

Next, we head to Group E, where Germany face Ivory Coast in their second World Cup fixture. Germany made a huge statement in their opener, dismantling Curacao 7-1 in a ruthless display. While the level of opposition may not have been elite, Germany looked clinical.

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Ecuador, needing a dramatic late winner from Amad Diallo to seal all three points. It was a tight contest, and arguably one that could have finished level. Based on the opening performances, I expect Germany’s quality to show and see strong value in backing them to lead at half time and go on to win.

Japan Halftime / Fulltime @ 2.09

Japan take on Tunisia in their second World Cup match, and this is a fixture where I expect the quality gap to be clear. Tunisia struggled badly in their opener, suffering a heavy 5-1 defeat to Sweden, and truthfully, the scoreline could have been even more damaging given how poor they looked throughout.

On the other hand, Japan produced a disciplined and impressive performance to earn an important point against a strong Netherlands side. They looked organised, dangerous in key moments, and far more balanced than their opponents here. That’s why I see excellent value in backing Japan Halftime / Fulltime.

Spain To win both halves  @ 1.87

My final pick lands in the Spain vs Saudi Arabia clash, a fixture that has all the signs of being one of matchday two’s biggest mismatches. Spain may not have hit top gear against Cape Verde, but I expect a serious response here as they look to stamp their authority on a poor Saudi Arabia side.

Saudi Arabia earned a valuable point against Uruguay, but this feels like a huge step up in class. The gap between these two teams could prove decisive, and I expect Spain to dominate from start to finish. Therefore, backing them to win both halves looks like a standout value play.
